That’s how the IOCwelcomes our fantasticTeam Finland among all the other 203 nationalities
for our exceptional trip toNanjing. Itmeans that in addition to competing, our 14 athleteswill
learn a lot about different cultures, Olympism, healthy lifestyle, career planning, global issues and
muchmore.Theywill learnwhat itmeans to be a responsible athlete living by theOlympic Values
of excellence, respect and friendship. In theYOG, the participants are able to engage, interact and
learn from each other aswell asmeet their rolemodels and get advice from them. Andwhat’s the
most important–to have FUN.
I ammore than happy and honored to be theYoungAmbassador for our enthusiastic young
athletes andmake them get themost out of their first Olympic experience.We have a super team,
whowill undoubtedly do their best in their own sports, but also in cheering the other teammates
