demand for printed products, the company reduced its own
capacity and developed its partnership network.
The outlook for 2012 is twofold: on the one hand, the
demand for new services will grow as customers improve
the efficiency of their communications and on the other, the
downward trend in demand for traditional printing services
will continue. In 2011, the company had an average of 242
employees.
Edita Västra Aros
Edita Västra Aros is the largest sheet-fed offset printing house
in Sweden. In addition to graphic solutions, the company pro-
vides value-added services, such as training, logistic services
and electronic solutions. The main customers are service com-
panies, the public sector, industrial companies and advertising
agencies. The company strives to be the best full-service graph-
ics company in Sweden and a natural partner for customers
looking for high-quality.
Edita Västra Aros is a pioneer in environmentally-aware
work. The company’s environmental know-how has been used
in the development of environmentally-aware practices at the
Group’s Finnish companies, too.
The main challenges of 2011 were related to the weak devel-
opment of the Swedish market, cost pressures and tough com-
petition. The best growth of the year was in digital printing and
direct marketing services. As a reaction to the market situation,
the company made staff reductions; both at the main produc-
tion site in Västerås and the post-processing unit in Stockholm.
New growth is sought in direct communications in particular.
Consequently, the company transferred the digital printing and
direct marketing services of the Kampanjfabrik unit into one
location in Veddesta, near Stockholm.
Following the efficiency improvement measures, the out-
look for 2012 is promising. The most important goal is to start
and develop the operations of a new unit concentrating on
direct production. In 2011, the company had an average of
107 employees.
Edita Bobergs
Edita Bobergs ab, based in Falun, Sweden, is an associate com-
pany of Edita Sweden ab that specializes in personalized direct
communications. In 2011, the general decline of printed mar-
keting material decreased the net revenue of the financial year.
Nevertheless, new, creative product solutions brought new
customers and, thanks to adjustment measures, the company
achieved a positive result. In 2012, both net revenue and prof-
itability are expected to improve. In 2011, the company had
an average of 19 employees.
