Greetings from the
Finnish Olympic Committee
A new chapter in the marvelous history of Finnish Olympic sports is about to
be written. Drawing from a rich tradition, we will place ourselves among the
other Finnish Olympians; those who were before, and those who will come
after.
Participating the Olympic Games is a dream for all the young boys and girls
doing sports. As the years go by, a dream becomes a goal, and then suddenly
it becomes reality. In Rio 2016 we are torchbearers for future generations,
forwarding the true spirit of sports, and being grateful for all the fans and
supporters who’ll live these unforgettable days with us.

The Olympic journey is all about being thrilled, pushing it to the limits, and
feeling pure joy. All the preparations, all the planning, all the hard work is
over, and the Olympic Team Finland is fresh, strong, and willing to give it all.
It is time to get down to business! The excitement is here, the crowd cheers,
the stakes are high. We are ready to go, so let’s go and pursue our Olympic
dreams!
