Class: 49er FX

Noora Ruskola and Camilla Cedercreutz won a quota place for Finland in 49er FX,

the new Olympic class, at the Trofeo Princesa Sofia regatta in Palma de Mallorca in March 2016. They still had to

beat another Finnish pair in the Hyères regatta in April to earn their ticket to Rio. Noora won the World Champion-

ship title in the junior Zoom8 class in 2010. She joined forces with Cedercreutz in the following year.

Class: Laser Radial

Tuula Tenkanen had an early start for her Olympic career: she was only 17 and world

junior champion when she was chosen to represent Finland at the 2008 regatta in Qingdao. Her breakthrough in

the senior ranks came five years later: since winning silver at the World Championships of 2013 Tuula has been a

medal contender at every major regatta in women’s Laser Radial class. Her latest medal is bronze from the European

championships held in Las Palmas in March 2016. Tuula studies biotechnology at Aalto University in Helsinki.
