Events: 100 m & 200 m breaststroke, 4 x 100 m medley

Jenna Laukkanen made a spectacular breakthrough to the world swimming elite in December 2015 by winning two

gold medals at the European Short Course Championships in Netanya, Israel. In May 2016 she took her first senior

long course medals, bronze in 50 metres breaststroke and the medley relay at the European Championships in Lon-

don. Jenna hails from Sotkamo in Northern Finland, place better known for winter sports athletes. Her two brothers

have also won swimming medals at national level.
